Ingredients:
200 g plain flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 large onion, cut into rings
70 g corn flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
250 ml of low-fat milk
1 egg
150 g breadcrumbs
1/6 teaspoon paprika
Cooking spray

1/6 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Mix flour with baking powder, corn flour, and salt in a suitable bowl.
  2. First coat the onion rings with flour mixture; set them aside.
  3. Beat milk with egg then add the remaining flour mixture into the egg.
  4. Mix them well together to make a thick batter.
  5. Now dip the floured onion rings into the prepared batter and coat them well.
  6. Place the rings on a wire rack for 10 minutes Spread breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl.
  7. Coat the onion rings with breadcrumbs and shake off the excess.
  8. Preheat your air fryer appliance to 200 C. Set the coated onion rings in the frying basket.
  9. Spray them with cooking spray. Cook them for 8 minutes approximately until golden brown.
  10. Flip once cooked halfway through.
  11. Season the air-fried onion rings with garlic powder and paprika and serve.
